Founded the Tees Valley Jazzmen with brother Gavin in 1970 and still pounding the keys numerable Sunday nights later.
The flying fingers have accompanied musicians of every shape and size across the globe.
Armies of groupies politely fended off (well nearly all)! Friends made, tours arranged, van driven (badly), snoring endured, fish and chips eaten and still unable to retire with good grace!
The lure of rapturous applause and screaming `girls` has proven too much to resist so fans far and wide can look forward to many more years of marvelling at a talent that shows no signs of diminishing.
